What is a SWIFT Code / BIC code?
Business Identifier Codes (BIC) has been developed by Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) to identify banks and financial institutions globally. SWIFT Code / BIC Code is formed of 8 or 11 characters in following system:
- First four characters in the SWIFT Code / BIC Code from left depicts bank code. In the case of KOREA EXCHANGE BANK the first four characters from left KOEX indicates that it is KOREA EXCHANGE BANK.
