Payer Bank matches the Information on the cheque and debit payer account with the amount of the cheque and send response to the payee's Bank for crediting Payee's account. Payer Bank can also reject the Cheque presented by Payee's Bank, for signature of the Payee not matching as per Bank Record or if there is any overwritting on the Cheque.
