What is Austria Banks Sort Codes?

In Austria, each Bank has been allotted a 5 digits unique code. This 5 digits code is called Sort Code / Bank Code. Sort Code is used to uniquely identify a Bank. Austria Bank Branches are not allotted separate Sort Code. Bank Branches use the Sort Code of the Bank for Financial Transactions.

Purpose of Austria Banks Sort Codes

Sort Codes are used in Austria by Banks to transfer payments from one Bank Account to another Bank Account, within a Bank Branch or between a Bank's different branches or between different Banks.

How to find Your Bank Accounts Sort Codes

Your Bank Account Sort Code is printed on your Cheque Book. You can also find your Bank Account Sort Code in your Banks Mobile APP or Web Application. Login to your Bank's Mobile APP or Web APP and you will see six digits no. which is your Bank Account Sort Code. Your Bank Account Sort Code is also included in IBAN No. In Austria IBAN Numbers, check Character 5 to 9 from left, which is your Bank Account Sort Code. In Austria only Banks are allotted Sort Code and all the Bank Branches use the same Sort Code.
